The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah and Board member, Mohamed Al-Ammari, along with the Director of the Maintenance and Projects Department, Najmi Karim, met with Yong Choi, Senior Vice President for the Middle East region of Daewoo E&C, along with the representative for the company in Libya, Kwan Soon-sang, accompanied by Abdel Bari Al-Arousi, the company’s advisor on Monday, at the headquarters of the NOC in Tripoli.

The meeting dealt with the company’s hopes to resume to its activities in Libya and to contribute to the initiation of projects related to the oil sector, which the NOC intends to implement in order to increase production capacity and to improve infrastructure.

Sanallah welcomed this step and emphasized the sector’s need for the Daewoo E&C company’s expertise in the field of developing new onshore and offshore fields, along with establishing refineries and projects related to the company’s specialist activities.

He also stressed that the company has previous experience and presence in Libya and is well acquainted with the sector through its contribution to the implementation of many projects previously in Libya.

At the end of the meeting, Young Choi thanked Sanallah for the opportunity, promising that the company would make every effort to resume its activities in Libya and contribute through its communication with the operating companies in the forthcoming projects.
