The new mini-government is ready to hand over power to any unity government agreed upon by Libyans, the Office of GNC President Nuri Abu Sahmainn confirmed on Wednesday.

The office said in a statement that the new 12-minister cabinet was formed to deal with the ongoing crisis in the country in the light of oil fields closure.

It added that the GNC is keen on reaching a government of national accord that can meet the Libyans' aspirations and deal with threats of terrorism and illegal immigration.

"We confirm that the new government reshuffle is an internal matter that aimed to bear the burden of the big government during this stage. The new mini-government is ready to hand over power to any government that represents the will of Libyans who look for a government of national accord that can bring security, defeat terrorism, and combat illegal immigration." The statement reads.

The General National Congress voted on Tuesday in favor of a new mini-government of 12 ministers headed by Prime Minister of Khalifa Al-Ghawiel.
