Gunmen loyal to Dignity Operation in the central Libyan city of Al-Khums have abducted Ibrahim Abu Nowara and handed him over to serial killer Mahmoud Al-Werfalli in Benghazi.
A photo posted on social media on Friday showed Abu Nowara in blue jumpsuit kneeling in front of six Dignity Operation extremist militants including Mahmoud Al-Werfalli.
Ibrahim Abu Nowara is a senior fighter within Ajdabiya Shura Council. He was hiding in his relatives’ house in Al Khums, some 120km east of Tripoli.
Early this week, Mahmoud Al-Werfalli released an ISIS-style footage that showed a summary execution of about 20 captives in Benghazi.
No comments were released by so-called “Libyan National Army” of Khalifa Haftar about the killing videos despite local and international calls for investigation and dismissal of Al-Werfalli from service.
