Libyan frozen assets in foreign banks must be regained and used to alleviate the economic struggles of citizens, the statement finale of the 11th neighboring countries meeting, which was held in Algeria, indicated on Monday.

The statement urged for preserving the the oil industry installations under the control of the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation, calling on all regional and international organizations to help settle the Libyan current political ordeal, taking into account the visions of the neighboring countries.

"Next meeting will be held in Tripoli and the date will be specified after consultations with the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord" The statement reads.

The Libyan neighboring counties meeting includes Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Chad, Sudan and Niger.

The foreign ministers of the neighboring countries stressed on the need to stick to the ABC's of the Skhirat-signed political agreement as the only guidebook for the solution in Libya.

The Head of the UNSMIL, Martin Kobler, said he was comfortable that Khalifa Haftar had accepted to go back to the dialogue table based on the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA.)

"We reject any foreign military intervention in Libya, and we urge for maintaining the rule of legitimate state institutions, respecting the rule of law and uniting the police and military in Libya under civilian authority as per the LPA." The foreign ministers said in the statement.

The statement also hailed reaching a common understanding of the amendments needed to be indexed in the LPA, and welcomed including Tunisia statement of the tripartite meeting of Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt last February.

"Any intervention under the pretext of fighting terrorism in Libya must be enlisted by an official request by the Presidential Council and in collaboration with it." The statement concludes.
