The Ministry of Planning has hosted a meeting that gathered the head of the joint National Technical Coordination Committee, Issam Garba, UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Libya, Yacoub El Hillo, and Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Gerardo Noto.

The participants reviewed the steps taken by the technical working teams of the commission, in the area of economic recovery, basic services, justice, international humanitarian law, and migration, according to a statement by the UNDP.

The UNDP head highlighted the importance of reviving the Governance Working Group and establishing a stabilization working panel to coordinate the immediate stabilization efforts in Libya.

For his part, the head of the National Committee for Coordination of Technical Cooperation, Issam Garba, emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts with all international partners to move forward, in achieving the goals and to duly and effectively translate them into action on the ground.
