Prime Minister of Tobruk government Abdullah Al-Thani has admitted that his deputy minister for security affairs is corrupt.

In a leaked recording, Al-Thani was complaining to some of his cabinet ministers about several financial corruption cases committed by first deputy Al-Mihdi Allabad who, according to Al-Thani, mandated Almanara Holding Company to buy many items without approval from the government.

Al-Thani referred to the multi-million contracts Allabad signed with Almanara. These included: a 9.8 million contract to buy jackets, shoes and underwear; a 1.6 million contract to buy a 5*5 tent with carpets and blankets; a 19 million contract to buy medical supplies; a 12 million contract to buy long/short range communication systems; a 9 million contract to buy a full-equipped mobile kitchen; and a 14 million contract to buy (food preparation & transportation system).
