The member of the Presidential Council Ahmed Mitig said Monday, in a meeting with the Head of General Authority of Water Resources Omar Salima and his deputies, that there should be swift measures to start building two water desalination plants in east Tripoli and Misrata.

The meeting, according to Government of National Accord media office, tackled water desalination projects and sewage systems as the relevant officials reviewed their plans to repair a number of plants and systems this year.

Mitig also called for repairing water wells of Nafousa Mountain and to re-operate 105 wells in Tripoli as an alternative to the shutdown of Man-made River system, in addition to repairing Zuwara, Al-Zawiya and Zlitin water desalination plants in three months at most, calling also for repairing sewers on the highway in Tripoli, those in Abu Salim, Souq Al-Thelat and Sikka station in Misrata.
