The Misrata Central Hospital has received a number of children who escaped Sirte battle through safe passages provided by the forces of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos in Jiza neighborhood over the last few days.

16 children out of the huge number of children, who managed to leave Sirte into Misrata Central Hospital, lost their parents during the fight in Sirte over the last six months.

The head of the hospital, Alaa Al-Hawaik, said the parents of the 16 orphans were fighting alongside IS militants and now, after what they have gone through in the clashes, they are being taken care of medically and psychologically by the hospital’s medics.

The spokesman of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, Mohammed Al-Ghasri, said some of the children, who were saved from Jiza neighborhood, are not Libyan, stressing that it is a priority now that they receive psychological treatment until their families and relatives get identified later.

Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos forces rescued over 100 women and children from the seaside Jiza neighborhood over the last few days.

The civilians were being used as human shields to hinder the advance of the forces and delay the liberation of the neighborhood from IS terrorists.
