A coalition of Misrata's powerful brigades has warned military institutions in the city against interfering in political disputes, one day after the military council of the city vowed conditional support for the political dialogue.

"We warn any military party in the city against interfering in the political disputes and dragging the revolutionary fighters into situations that nobody wants." The Operations Command to Defend Misrata said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement clarified that the OCDM had handed over its powers to the Military Council of Misrata to help in building state institutions, but not to allow it to take decisions unilaterally in order to gain narrow interests, in response to the statement of the military council and brigades under it about the political dialogue.

The OCDM also expressed respect to the General National Congress and the Salvation Government and vowed support to the peaceful protests against the city's municipal council.

The coalition, which contained all brigades that fought former Gaddafi regime, also declared readiness to fight ISIS along with Libya's revolutionaries.
