Five Dignity Operation officers were killed in a military helicopter crash on Tuesday.

The helicopter took off from Ras Lanuf and was bound to return to Tobruk airbase when it crashed in Mechili village, around 274 km east of Benghazi.

The crash was due to a technical fault, reports said.

Colonel Idriss Al-Dirsi, the manager of Tobruk parliament president Aqailah Saleh's office, and his son were among the victims.
