A blaze broke out at Loloaa Hotel in Derna Thursday night following an indiscriminate IS shelling on Al-Sahil, Bab Tobruk and Al-Balad districts. The fire claimed the first and second floors before locals managed to put it out, preventing it from reaching the third floor.

IS militants are now hiding in Al-Fatayh and Al-Korfat Al-Sabah, mountainous regions in the eastern part of the city overlooking some districts. They were forced out of the city's main districts by Shura Council fighters last month.

Meanwhile, Dignity Operation warplanes carried out airstrikes on Sayda Khadija district in western Derna leaving several make-shift houses on fire.
