The Algerian Minister of Maghreb and African Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel arrived in Labreg airport on Wednesday as part of his first visit to eastern Libya, where he met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Aqilah Saleh in Al-Bayda.

The meeting between Saleh and Messahel discussed the political development and hindrances in the country plus the mutual relations of the two countries.

Messahel stressed, according to media, that Libyans must sit together on the dialogue table as it is the only way to keep their country stable and thus make room for ending terrorist threats in Libya.

Khalifa Haftar's envoy Abdelbasit Al-Badri and eastern Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Dairi attended the meeting.

According to Libyan eastern sources, Messahel headed on a tour inside The Green Mountain district including Shahat archaeological sites before he had gone to Al-Marij to meet with Haftar in his so-called command headquarters in Rajma area.
