The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi discussed with the ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Libya Caroline Hurndall and the UK Ministry of Defense Director of International Security Policy Mr. Nick Gurr the latest developments in the political process in Libya as well as joint cooperation.

Menfi's media office said the meeting included discussions on cooperation in military, security, electricity and renewable energy fields as well as activating training and development agreements between Libya and the UK.

"The role of the international community in stabilizing Libya is very important. The agreement on the remaining points of difference regarding the constitutional track between the House of Representatives and High Council of State. This would be an important step toward a roadmap for a solution and setting a date for elections." Menfi said.

Hurndall hailed the progress in national reconciliation file and the efforts of the Presidential Council in communicating with all political parties to end the crisis.

Meanwhile, Gurr's visit to Libya on Thursday was the second as he came to Tripoli about two weeks ago along with other British officials. He met with Menfi and Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbiebah as well as Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush at the time.
