The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Hussein Al-Qatrani, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Faraj Qaem, mechanisms for activating government institutions in the eastern region, especially the security ones.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Presidential Council in Tripoli, on Tuesday, stressed the need to support the departments of the Ministry of Interior with all capabilities, so that they can perform their tasks professionally, including securing the elections scheduled for next December.

Menfi praised the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to establish security in the eastern region, and to impose the prestige of the state and law.

He also stressed the Presidential Council’s support for the ministry, which is responsible for the security of citizens and the preservation of government institutions, according to a statement by the Media Office of the Presidential Council.
