The member of the Presidential Council Mohammed Emmari Zayid said the solution in Libya is no longer a political one and that they cannot return to the political process until the attack on Tripoli is defeated and the project of militarizing Libya is terminated.

These remarks came in a meeting with the Italian ambassador in Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, on Thursday, when both officials talked about the ongoing military and political developments in the country.

He also said that he doesn't expect any big success out of Berlin conference on Libya if there won't be strict measures against the ongoing offensive against Tripoli, saying the ceasefire can only become reality once the offensive stops.

"There should be more participations in the Berlin conference and there should be consensus shown by the international community I'm support for the Government of National Accord as well." Emmari added.

Meanwhile, the Italian ambassador reiterated his country's support for the Presidential Council and keenness to resume the political process.

The meeting also discussed bilateral relations and projects under cooperation between the Presidential Council's government and Italy.
