The Libyan Presidential Council has denied the truth of videos circulated on social media showing Syrian fighters in a military camp and saying it is in Libya.

A statement by the media office of the Head of the Presidential Council called for verifying the news and videos before circulating them, adding that the footage was shot in Idlib, Syria.

The Presidential Council said it will take legal action against those who spread the lies allegations, which, he said, aim to undermine the victories of the Libyan Army against the aggressor.

TV channels and social media pages circulated videos for Syrian Free Army fighters saying they are in Tripoli, but the spokesman for the army Yousef Hammoud denied those videos to Italian news agency Aki.

A source from Volcano of Rage Operation said the videos are clear fabrications by Haftar's media outlets to cover up for the videos that showed Russian mercenaries fighting for Haftar's forces in southern Tripoli.
