The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) confirmed that following the cessation of military activity at El Feel oilfield, production was resumed on Thursday.

"No NOC employees were harmed. Facilities sustained some minor damage but workers were able to resume production once conditions were deemed safe." The NOC said in a statement.

"I remind all parties that Libya’s oil and gas fields are vital sources of revenues for the benefit of all Libyans. They must not be treated as military targets.” NOC Chairman has warned.

He added that any fighting in the vicinity of any of oil facilities forces staffers to cease production in order to ensure the safety of employees, saying when production ceases, all Libyans lose out.

Three airstrikes by Haftar's forces on El Feel oilfield on Wednesday caused damages to the field and forced the shutdown of 75.000 barrels of oil a day.

Sources loyal to Sabha military zone of the Presidential Council said Wednesday that their forces pulled out from the oilfield after airstrikes by Haftar's forces as they were keen on the safety of workers and the facilities, saying the aircraft must have been foreign as Haftar's forces didn't have such types.
