The spokesman for the Libyan Interior Ministry of the Presidential Council's government Al-Mabrouk Abdelahfid said halting security cooperation with France is a clear message that says Libya's sovereignty is above all considerations.

"We hail in this regard the role of the Tunisian authorities in preventing the presser of the east-based foreign minister on their land out of their conviction that such acts would worsen Libya's crisis." The spokesman added in a presser in Al-Aziziya on Monday.

He added that the Libyan Army forces have taken control of the area from Wadi Rabea to Al-Aziziya from the attacking forces under the command of Khalifa Haftar.

"We're in the process of securing the outskirts of the whole capital from all directions so all residents can feel safe in their houses." He indicated.

Al-Mabrouk said the Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha had ordered investigations and monitoring of damages so the residents can maintain their rights after several reports of looting and sabotage in Al-Aziziya district.

"The plan to advance on Tripoli by Haftar's forces was designed to use criminal means, including planting sleeper cells inside the capital to wreak havoc and create chaos so the people feel abandoned by the government and thus send messages to the international community that they were entering the city to secure it." He explained.

Al-Mabrouk said the Interior Minister also ordered security apparatuses and personnel in areas controlled by Haftar's forces to disobey their orders and listen to the instructions of the Presidential Council's security departments only, warning the ones who don't obey orders of legal action.
