The Libyan Interior Ministry said any threats to the Libyan civilian planes are crimes punishable by the national and international laws.

Responding to a no-fly zone decision by Khalifa Haftar's forces over Tripoli, the Interior Ministry said the national and international laws preserve the safety of civil aviation operations and airspace and any attempts to target them will be a crime that is added to Haftar and his aides' list of violations.

"Haftar has given the Al-Jufra and Al-Watiya airbases as well as another airbase in eastern Libya to foreign troops. Al-Jufra airbase is operated by UAE military experts who operate China-made drones that have committed crimes against civilians." The Interior Ministry said.

It added that those airbases were later given to Russian Wagner Group as well as the Al-Watiya airbase to operate Sukhoi aircraft and gather military intelligence that aim at the end to harm civilians and their properties.

"Wagner Group and its Libya presence are hindering efforts to fight terrorism as part of the international coalition to fight terrorist groups." It indicated.

The spokesman for Haftar's forces, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said in a presser on Saturday that their forces would impose a no-fly zone over Tripoli, except for Mitiga Airport, warning civilian planes against flying over the restricted area without prior coordination and permission by them.
