The Libyan Prime Minister-elect, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, discussed with the UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, the methods he was following in forming the Government of National Unity cabinet, in the presence of UNSMIL coordinator, Raisedon Zenenga, as well as the humanitarian coordinator of the UNSMIL, Georgette Gagnon.

Dbeibah's media office said he reiterated that he would make sure to form a government that would lead Libya to general elections, stability and development, wishing the new executive authority would be able to work for the greater good of the whole country after years of lack of security.

Dbeibah also said that Libya would regain its sovereignty in the near future, discussing with the UNSMIL officials pushing forward the roadmap of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum as well as the results of his meetings with House of Representatives Speaker Aqila Saleh and its members, besides the High Council of State members.

He also hoped that House of Representatives members hold a full-quorum session to endorse the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum's outcomes, confirming willingness to cooperate with UNSMIL to adopt a joint strategy in improving human rights and the humanitarian situation in Libya.
