The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj said the human rights violations in Libya are leading to deteriorating of humanitarian conditions, displaying at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) a banner of photos for HoR member Siham Sergiwa, Military College cadets and prisoners executed by Mahmoud Al-Werfalli.

Al-Sarraj added in his address to the UNHRC that 30 cadets were killed in the airstrike on Tripoli Military College and 50 people were killed in airstrikes on Tajoura migrants' center, adding that in addition to the crimes, Libyans in eastern region are deprived of the right to free speech, alluding to the kidnapping of House of Representatives member Siham Sergiwa who was taken from her house in Benghazi and the crimes of Al-Werfalli under the command of Khalifa Haftar.

"We have videos documenting all incidents and all attendees will get copies of them. Libyans are now defending themselves and Tripoli as well as other cities against the aggression as they reject dictatorship and need a civilian state." He added, saying both Libyans and foreigners residing in Libya had suffered damage from the violations as indiscriminate attacks hit infrastructure, schools, hospitals and other vital areas.

Al-Sarraj recalled the attack on Tripoli port, saying it was a blatant violation of international law as it killed and injured several civilians, adding that the Presidential Council expressed many times readiness to be part of peace talks.

He also indicated that the Presidential Council had called many times for investigation committees to document forced disappearance and arbitrary detention as well as extrajudicial killing and attacks on civilians' cases.
