The Libyan High Council of State (HCS) has called on the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj to take a deterrent stance against the blatant intervention of the countries backing up the coup against legitimacy led by Khalifa Haftar.

The HCS urged Al-Sirraj to deplore those countries' intervention in his participation at 74th General Assembly of the United Nations on next Tuesday.

The HCS also hailed the heroic acts of the Libyan Army forces in foiling attacks by Haftar's forces on Tripoli Airport and Yarmouk Camp frontlines in southern Tripoli on Saturday.

The Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala traveled to New York to prepare for the attendance of General Assembly by the Libyan delegation headed by Al-Sarraj who should travel this week.

On Saturday, Libyan Army forces foiled heavy attacks by Haftar's forces backed by air cover and mercenaries from Russian Wagner Group.
