Security authorities loyal to Government of National Accord have arrested the Minister of Local Governing Milad Al-Taher and his deputy as well as the head of the Ministry's burueau Saleh Al-Sakloul over corruption accusations.

The investigations bureau of the Attorney General's Office also ordered arrest of the deputy education minister Adel Jumua over corruption in importing school desks.

The mayor of Bani Walid Salim Enwir was also arrested over embezzlement, while the director of Sabha hospital was also kept in custody for signing receipt medical equipment which wasn't in reality found at the hospital.

The Director of the Libyan Foreign Bank Mohammed bin Yusef was also arrested over corruption accusations as well by orders of the Attorney General’s Office.

The Interior Ministry ordered arrest of the general director of production projects at the General Electricity Company of Libya who is wanted by the Attorney General’s Office over corruption charges.

Meanwhile, the Military Prosecution in Tripoli ordered the arrest of deputy minister of health Mohammed Haythem and five others over corruption and embezzlement in coronavirus response budgets.
