Libya's Ansar Al-Sharia, based in Benghazi, has declared dissolution from the main group.
In a statement on Saturday, the Libyan Ansar Al-Sharia said it officially dissolved itself after being weakened by the ongoing fighting, in which it sacrificed several fighters and leaders.
"We invite all other factions to unite themselves and pursue in the fight against anti-revolution parties in the country." The statement urges.
Falling as a surprise on the Libyan current conflicting parties, the statement egged on Shura councils and other revolutionaries to be united in their fight in Benghazi and elsewhere, warning of ever being controlled by any western agenda.
Libya's Ansar Al-Sharia is the suspect numero uno by the US for the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi in 2012, when the US ambassador and three other Americans were killed.
