The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, has said that Libya supports the government of Chad and its efforts in fighting mercenaries and terrorism.

The Libyan Prime Minister added, in statements to reporters after he had arrived in Chad, that his government wanted to strengthen bilateral relations with Chad as part of continuous cooperation between the two countries.

Dbeibah added that Libya and Chad are hoping to conduct comprehensive cooperation, especially in fighting terrorism and illegal immigration as well as border security, and economic and social fields.  

The Libyan Prime Minister arrived in the capital of Chad, N'Djamena, on Tuesday morning and he was received by the Chadian Prime and Foreign Ministers.

The meeting between the Libyan Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation with the Chadian officials discussed several issues of joint interest, especially issues related to border security and illegal immigration.
