The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, and the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Fawzi Al-Nuwairi reiterated the importance of supporting efforts that lead to holding elections in December.

They also talked in their meeting in Tripoli on Thursday about the ongoing political developments, and national reconciliation, while the Prime Minister reiterated support for holding free and fair elections that reflect the will of the Libyan people.

The spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Blehiq, announced that the HoR's confidence withdrawal vote was passed by majority of 89 members out of 113 attending Tuesday session, saying the government could continue as a caretaker government.

The Government of National Unity rejected the HoR vote and Dbeibah called for demonstrations on Friday in Tripoli, saying in a speech at the Tripoli Martyrs Square that the government would continue to work to serve the people until the holding of elections.
