On the margins of EU leaders summit in Brussels on Wednesday, the Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj met with the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, the European Parliament's President Antonio Tajani, Italian Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, Maltese Prime Minister, Joseph Muscat, and others.

The meetings revolved around Libya's political crisis, international and EU support for Libya in security and rebuilding military institutions, as well as in fighting illegal immigration with the EU financial and security support, let alone addressing the humanitarian issues of the migrants.

NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, renewed the support for the UN-proposed government in Libya saying there is no military solution for the country's crisis, hailing the positive security developments in Tripoli and the control of the UN-proposed government's security apparatuses on the ins and outs of the capital.

The Italian PM, Gentiloni, also reiterated his country's support for Al-Sirraj's government, stressing the need for stability in Libya.

Al-Sirraj is participating in the EU leaders summit in Brussels about the issue of illegal immigration. He said in his speech Wednesday that Libya rejects resettling immigrants in the country, calling for more support and funding to improve the conditions of the immigrants centers in Libya to pave the way for their eventual return to their countries of origin.
