A Libyan pilgrim in Mecca has been killed in the crane collapse on Friday, the Libyan Pilgrims Mission has announced.

Juma’a Al-Lafi Faraj was reported missing by his wife before members of the mission found him among the casualties.

"The Civil Affairs Committee at the Mission has been assigned to look for the lost pilgrim soon after being declared missing. Later his body was found at the Emergency and Field Hospital in Al-Moaisim area in Mecca." The head of the Libyan Pilgrims Mission Sabri Al-Furjani told Alnabaa TV on Sunday.

He added that the pilgrim Juma’a Al-Lafi Faraj fell dead by the crane collapse at the Grand Mosque and his body was identified through his Pilgrimage ID.

On Friday, a construction crane fell through the roof of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, killing 107 people and wounding 238 others, according Saudi Civil Defence Department.
