The commander of Sirte-Jufra Liberation Room Ibrahim Baytelmal said the Government of National Accord (GNA) forces respect ceasefire agreements and are at the same time ready to repel any attacks.

Baytelmal told reporters Sunday that GNA forces are still in position with constant backup reinforcements as they continue to monitor Khalifa Haftar's forces' movement and the positions of their mercenaries as well as their supplies arriving in Gardabiya airbase in Sirte.

Haftar's forces are still receiving military reinforcements despite international calls for deescalation and return to political negotiations, while the GNA is on the other hand ramping up its military might and reinforcing its forces on the frontlines.

The spokesman for the room, Abdelhadi Drah said they had depicted Saturday the landing of two Ilyushin military planes in Gardabiya and Jufra airbases.

Meanwhile, many international news agencies said Russia and Egypt may have deployed S-300 or S-400 anri-aircraft systems in Libya's Ras Lanuf to support Haftar's forces.

Separately, the Turkish Foreign Minister said last Thursday in Tripoli that there was a proposal to surrender Sirte and Jufra to GNA and talks were still underway.
