The Libyan representative at the UN mission in Geneva, Tamim Baeyo, said they are exerting efforts to urge the international community to have a unified stance toward Libya, especially toward the individual external intervention in the ongoing conflict.

Baeyo told reporters Saturday that the international community is lacking action in Libya as its ununified stance continues to undermine solutions that can end the suffering of Libyans on all levels.

He added that Libya's membership in the UN permanent mission will oblige it to commit to humanitarian and international laws, especially the ones related to displaced and forcefully displaced people as well as war crimes.

The UN envoy Ghassan Salame said last August that there was division inside the Security Council regarding condemning foreign intervention in Libya, adding that there was not the least unity needed for the Security Council to deplore those acts that are at odds with its own resolutions.

Libya won a seat at the UN Human Rights Council among 14 countries elected by the General Assembly.
