The Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala has welcomed the investigation of the United States into the delivery of American missiles to the forces of Khalifa Haftar.

Sayala's remarks came Sudnay after the announcement of the US Department of State, which said that it would be taking seriously the misuse of US-made weapons, according to Aljazeera.

Aljazeera added that the US Department of State also said that stability and peace in Libya can be achieved only through political solutions, voicing support for the efforts of the UN envoy Ghassan Salame.

New York Times said Saturday that an investigation had been opened to look into whether or not the delivery of four American missiles to Haftar's forces violates the US and UN laws.

Libyan Army forces under the Presidential Council's command seized anti-tank missiles in Gharyan after capturing the city on last Wednesday. The missiles are US-made delivered to Haftar's forces by the UAE for the Tripoli offensive.
