The spokesman of Dignity Operation forces, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said that Khalifa Haftar's so-called general command won't surrender Mahmoud Al-Werfalli to the International Criminal Court.
"Al-Werfalli is now under investigation by the military prosecutor." Al-Mismari said in a press conference in Benghazi.
Al-Mismari added that no Libyan citizen will be handed over to the ICC unless he is wanted for international lawsuits, adding that the media is not allowed to cover any news or details about him.
He also urged the international community to take the needed measures to deter the sponsors of terrorism, accusing it of dealing with double standards regarding the Libyan crisis.
ICC issued an arrest warrant of Al-Werfalli in mid-August and urged Libyan authorities to help surrender him for the war crimes he committed against captives and prisoners.
Al-Mismari also said that Haftar's forces give the officials 6 months to end the crisis in Libya before the army moves to end it, according to his statement.
"Any failure regarding the French and Egyptian initiatives of elections in Libya will therefore lead to different tackling of the crisis after 6 months from July 23." He warned.
Al-Mismari also indicated that everyone should go to elections and the international community should support it.
