The Libyan Crimes Watch (LCW) accused in a statement on Saturday the forces under the command of Khalifa Haftar of systematic kidnapping and killing in Benghazi.

LCW added that the crimes in Benghazi constitute flagrant violations of international humanitarian law and all international conventions.

The LCW called on Haftar's forces to halt such violations and bring the perpetrators to justice, requesting that they reveal the whereabouts of the abducted women as well as all force-disappeared people in areas under their control.

"The UN Security Council should send a fact-finding mission to investigate the human rights violations in Libya. Likewise, the International Criminal Court should take legal action against the ones behind these crimes in Libya." It explained.

Over the last few days, bodies were found tortured then murdered in Benghazi, let alone the kidnappings by unidentified gunmen that also included the abduction of the ex-head of lawyers syndicate Abu Bakr Al-Sahouli, in addition to the forced disappearance of the member of the House of Representatives Siham Sirgiwa. The whereabouts of both are still unknown.
