276 illegal immigrants were rescued off the Libyan Garabulli and Al-Khumus coasts, including 29 women and 54 children onboard three boats, Libya's coastguards reported.

On Facebook, the Libyan Navy media office said the three rubber boats' engines broke down in the sea and that they carried out the mission on two boats as one was shutdown on the way to the rescue.

"63 migrants were missing as a dinghy capsized before the coastguards' boat arrived off western Garabulli. 41 others were rescued from the same dinghy as they were wearing life jackets." The media office said.

The rescued migrants were from 14 different African countries, it indicated, saying they were sent to Tripoli Naval Base on Monday then after they were given assistance, they were transferred to Tariq Al-Sikka migrants' shelter center.

3265 illegal immigrants have been saved from the sea since June 18 and a number of bodies have been removed as well in operations done by the Libyan coastguards.
