The Libyan Audit Bureau has been selected for the membership of the executive board of the Arab Organization of Supervisory Organs among four supervisory bodies from other countries, namely Kuwait, Algeria, and Morocco, to succeed the outgoing organs.

This came during the opening day of the General Assembly of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions at its13th session, which kicked off Tuesday in the Qatari capital Doha.

The Libyan delegation included the head of the Audit Bureau Khaled Shakshak and the Director of the Planning and Systems and Quality Assurance Office, Tariq Al Hattab, according to the bureau's information office.

The session also included the endorsement of the draft agenda and discussion on the Executive Board's report on its follow-up to the organization's activities and the measures taken to ensure the implementation of the program of work approved by the General Assembly at its previous session, held in Tunisia in 2016.
