The Libyan Army under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) has shot down a drone (Wing Loong provided by the UAE to Khalifa Haftar) as it was trying to raid on its positions in southern Al-Ajilat in west Libya.

The spokesman for the Libyan Army Mohammed Gununu said on Facebook on Wednesday their air defences were responsible for shooting down UAE's Wing Loong, which Haftar's forces are using in their air attacks.

Haftar's forces didn't comment on the incident, but social media users circulated footage for what they said was a Turkish warship firing a missile to down the pro-Haftar Emirati drone.

Meanwhile, Libyan Army forces carried out airstrikes on Al-Watiya airbase and Haftar's forces positions in Al-Wishka near Sirte, while one of its drones raided a military camp in Sabratha and Jufra airbase, without details about the targets and casualties.

Haftar's forces offered condolences for five of their fighters on Tuesday as they were killed in an airstrike on Al-Watiya airbase, where an ammunition depot was destroyed and an L39 plane was put out of service.

Tuesday night, the Libyan Army drones destroyed a large number of Brigade 646 military vehicles, including four Grad launchers, in Al-Wishka.
