Libyan Army Spokesman, Mohammad Qanunu has said that Haftar has demonstrated again that he is not a man to be trusted after his forces carried out a ground attack on Abu Grain area yesterday with the support of foreign aircraft.
In a press statement, Qanunu confirmed that their forces destroyed armed vehicles belonging to Haftar's forces and seized Egyptian-made ammunition and military equipment.
A number of militiamen were also captured, among them mercenaries, while the rest fled leaving the bodies of their dead burning inside their military vehicles, according to Qanunu.
The Libyan army called on civilians in the area from Abu Grain to Sirte and Al-Jafra districts to stay away from the militias' sites so as not to be used as human shields.
