The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, discussed Monday in Ankara boosting cooperation with Turkey as she met with her Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu.

The meeting, on the margins of the visit of Libya's Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah and 14-minister delegation to Turkey, discussed bilateral relations as Cavusoglu said that he had reviewed with Al-Mangoush bolstering friendship and cooperation between Libya and Turkey.

Cavusoglu said on Twitter on Monday that the meeting, which was held before convening Libya-Turkey Strategic Cooperation Council, was to reiterate continued support for Libya.

Libya's Prime Minister and 14 ministers as well as the Chief of General Staff arrived early Monday in Ankara for the first meeting of the 2104-established Libya-Turkey Strategic Cooperation Council, which will be held in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On the margins of the main meeting of the council, Dbeibah and the 14 ministers will be meeting with several Turkish officials to discuss different issues of joint interest, the media office of the Libyan Government of National Unity said.
