Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the second meeting of the Libyan-Turkish Strategic Cooperation Council in Tripoli, scheduled for next October, the Government of National Unity (GNU) information office said on Saturday.

Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, who is currently visiting Turkey, met yesterday with President Erdogan in Istanbul to discuss pending issues regarding the return of Turkish companies to Libya.

Dbeibah emphasized the need to address obstacles hindering the operation of Turkish companies in Libya, in particular, letters of guarantees and accumulated debts, where the two sides agreed on a series of measures, including developing executive procedures that would speed their return.

In order to increase commercial exchange, both sides agreed on a package of administrative and technical measures to enhance progress in this area.

Dbeibah arrived on Friday in Istanbul at the head of a governmental delegation to discuss common issues of interest.
