The Executive Office of Arab Ministers of Justice has held a meeting with the participation of several Arab Ministers, including Libya's Mohamed Lamloum.

The Ministry of Justice on Wednesday said the session, which was held online, is a prelude to the meeting of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers scheduled to take place today.

According to the ministry's Facebook page, yesterday's session discussed several topics included in the agenda of the next meeting for the Council of Arab Justice Ministers.

Among the files on the table were the draft Arab conventions for combating terrorism, the anti-money laundering and terrorist financing agreement, the anti-corruption treaties, and the Arab advisory bill for preventing hate speech.

The participants also looked into the proposals put forward by several Arab countries, including the one to hold an Arab guiding draft law to protect and support the elderly.

Lamloum made an observation about the Algerian proposal on the criminalization of ransom payment, which the Executive Office of Arab Ministers of Justice took into consideration and referred to the relevant technical committee.
