The spokesman for the Health Ministry, Fawzi Awnis, has confirmed that four people have been killed and ten others injured due airstrikes by warplanes backing up Khalifa Haftar's forces on Tajoura in eastern Tripoli.

The media office of Volcano of Rage Operation said Tuesday on Facebook that warplanes of Haftar's forces air-attacked a house in Khalit Fares, Baer Al-Usta Milad and Abaeish areas in Tajoura, killing four civilians and injuring three others.

In the meantime, eyewitnesses said the airstrikes hit a residential building and a vegetables store away from frontlines and military camps, adding that the "massacre" led to the killing of one little child - among the four civilians.

Haftar's warplanes and foreign aircraft in his support have been intensifying the strikes on different frontlines and residential neighborhoods over the last few days, leaving behind civilian deaths and injuries as well as massive material damage.

Earlier, the detained pilot Amer Al-Jagam, who was arrested by forces under the command of the Presidential Council's government as his aircraft got shot down in southern Al-Zawiya, said the drones are entirely operated by UAE officers at Al-Khadim airbase in eastern Libya and they have been present in Libya since 2014, taking part in military operations in Benghazi, Derna, and the southern region.

He indicated that F-16 and Egypt's Rafale aircraft, taking off from Al-Barani airbase in Egypt, are taking part in the war to target Misrata and Tripoli in coordination with Haftar’s forces in Al-Rajma.
