Foreign Minister, Mohamed Sayala has called on the Japanese authorities to consider reopening their embassy in Tripoli.

Sayala also called during his meeting with the President of the Japanese House of Councillors, Akiko Santo in Tokyo for the return of the Japanese companies in Libya to resume their work.

The two sides discussed the situation and developments in Libya, as well as enhancing cooperation between the two countries, in order to benefit from the Japanese experience in the field of reconstruction, capacity-building, education, and technology, according to the Libyan Foreign Ministry’s information office.

Sayala also invited Akiko to visit Libya and meet with her counterpart in Libya, president of the High Council of State (HCS).
