Doctor Al-Siddiq bin Dalla, who was kidnapped in Tripoli a few days ago, had been freed from the criminal group that abducted him by the Deterrence Apparatus for Fighting Crime of the Interior Ministry, which said Sunday the doctor was returned to his home in a good health condition.

The Interior Ministry said its units had stormed into the hideout of the armed group that was abducting the doctor and detained the kidnappers, who will be facing legal criminal charges as per the Libyan laws.

Meanwhile, local media sources reported that some of the kidnappers had escaped arrest and the Interior Ministry units were in search for them.

The Al-Hadba General Hospital said earlier Sunday that doctor bin Dalla - the deputy director of the hospital - returned home in a very good health condition.

Bin Dalla was abducted by unknown gunmen as he was heading home Tuesday evening. Since then, many calls urged for his release, including the US embassy in Libya, UN Support Mission in Libya and Syndicate of Libyan Doctors, which urged also for revealing the criminals' motive behind his abduction.
