Misrata Municipality announced on its Facebook page that an Italian airplane with the Italian ambassador onboard arrived Sunday in Misrata airport to transfer Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos (Solid Structure) injuries to Rome Military Hospital, adding that Misrata port will receive an Italian medicines shipment in the coming days to be given to Misrata Central Hospital.

According to the Municipality, the Italian ambassador and his accompanying delegation were received by the Head of the Special Military Operations Room, Bashir Al-Gadi, the spokesman of the room, the head of media and public relations office in Misrata Municipality, and the head of the committee for the injuries affairs in the room.

“I was assigned by the Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, to make sure this transfer flight takes place successively as it is one of the steps taken by Italy in cooperation with the UN-proposed government to support the war against IS in Sirte.” The ambassador added, confirming that a medicines shipment will arrive in Misrata Central Hospital before the end of June.
