Italy's Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Vincenzo Amendola, held separate meetings with members of UN-installed Presidency Council in Tripoli on Monday.

In his first meeting, Amendola met with deputy president of the council Abdul-Salam Kajman where they reviewed relations between both countries. Kajman called the Italian side to reopen the embassy in Tripoli and the Italian airspace to the Libyan air carriers.

"The illegal immigration file has been also addressed," the media office of PC reported.

In his second meeting, Amendola held talks with Mohammed Amari who briefed him about the ongoing endeavours to free the abducted Italians in Ghat.

Amari also said discussions on the formation of the new cabinet with start this week after the selection of city that will host the discussions.
