Misrata-led forces took control on Friday of Sirte's neighbourhoods 700 and 100, in another big blow to the radical group of ISIS which started to crumble following more than a month of fighting.

Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos forces, a coalition of pro and anti government brigades from Misrata and other western cities, launched an offensive on the remnants of ISIS militants in the two neighbourhoods in the early morning hours of Friday and forced them out. The fall of these two neighbourhoods paves the way for the recapture of the next targets on the way which are Ouagadougou Conference Hall and Ibn Sina Hospital.

Two fighters were killed and 38 others injured in today's clashes, Misrata Central Hospital reported.

ISIS militants are now holed up in Ouagadougou Conference Hall, Ibn Sina Hospital and Sirte University where fierce fighting rages around them. The radical group has started to depend on snipers to hinder the advance of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos forces.
