One security guard was killed and four others were injured on Wednesday in an ISIS attack on a military checkpoint in Misrata, the second on the same checkpoint within a year.

Security sources from Misrata said an ISIS suicide bomber blew his car up at Al-Sadadah checkpoint southeast of the city. Two of the wounded guards are in critical conditions.

In a separate attack, ISIS militants attacked the HQs of 28 May brigade south of Bani Walid town forcing brigade personnel there to retreat.

Last month, three soldiers from the Central Shield Force were killed in an ISIS attack on Abu Grein checkpoint in east Misrata.

In April 2015, ISIS militants attacked Al-Sadadah checkpoint killing 5 guards and leaving 25 others injured.
