ISIS claimed Wednesday the attack on the Libyan Foreign Ministry which killed on Tuesday three people and injured 21 others in Tripoli.

A social media post published a statement by ISIS praising the three terrorists whom it said were "immersive members" with explosive belts and machine guns and carried out the attack killing and injuring "31 renegades from security and foreign ministry personnel."

"The members controlled the building in hours and then they burnt it in full," the statement reads.

The statement added that ISIS will continue its war on those who defeated them in Sirte, where it said the battle is still ongoing and will expand to other cities which fought Sharia.

The attack on the Libyan Foreign Ministry took place Tuesday morning and the three attackers were killed - two gunned down and the third exploded himself.
