The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has said that over the past three days more than 3,800 internally displaced Libyans have received core relief and shelter items from the IOM.

"The IOM had provided over 3,800 internally displaced Libyans with much-needed core relief and shelter items, including blankets, mattresses, kitchen sets, solar lamps, and tarpaulins," the organization explained via its Twitter account.

It further pointed out that the items were distributed in coordination between the Italian Foreign Ministry, the Municipality of Tripoli, the Center for the Central Crisis Committee, the Social Security Fund and the UN OCHA Office in Libya.

The IOM voiced concern about the difficult humanitarian crisis in Libya since the outbreak of the conflict, saying it has increased at alarming rates and effected the living conditions of thousands of civilians.
