The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Congo, Jean Claude Gakosso, arrived on Tuesday at Mitiga International Airport to participate in the Libya Stability Conference, due to be hosted in the capital, Tripoli beginning next Thursday.

Other delegations who are set to participate in the conference began to arrive from Monday, where the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rose Marie Di Carlo, accompanied by the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jan Kubis arrived.

The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Manqoush, announced the holding of the conference to support the stability of Libya in Tripoli, adding that it is based on two major tracks, firstly military and security and secondly, economics, along with aims to make the country an arena for positive economic competition and to find a national solution to lead to a unified international and regional position on Libya.
